Last year we told Camden and Beckham we'd do a senior trip for them, but they have to chose the spot. After a few choice, they finally picked Las Vegas. Why? I'm not fully sure, but it was a very hot but very fun time.
We left Sunday morning. We left high 70s maybe 80s to land in 110 weather! We decided to try a mini golf place right off. Now this place could be lots of fun in decent weather, but after a hour and a half flight, no snacks or water, going right into the beating sun, it was not thought out well. You get 2 18 hole courses, but we were only able to do one. Today this place was a bust, but another day, I think it would be fun another time.
Emery had a back sunburn and didn't think this top all the way through. The course had coolers of ice towels all around, we ended up putting a few on her back to help the burn not get worse.
Each of the kids got to pick a place to eat. Beck's was first. He picked a pizza place called Mr Moto's Pizza. It was really good. You ordered by the slice and they also had some super good garlic knots. The Knots were the favorite of everyone.
Next we went to the art district to look at thrift shops. We found one called the Buffalo Exchange which Beck and Emery found things they liked. This cool graffiti was near our car.
We found a place called Pink Doughnuts. They have a ton of delish and cool doughnuts and each of us got 2. Cam and Beck wanted to try each others.... and well, Beck enjoyed it.
Jacks and I got Poos. The top 2 lumps are only frosting! They were good but too much frosting.
Beck and Emery got Care Bears.
The Airbnb was really nice. There was a pool table and a bed for everyone.
It was a good first day. Out feet were nice and rested, and didn't get too hot; little did we know what was coming.
