Bubble Run

This weekend we did a bubble run in Boise with Grandma and Grandpa Arrington. Everyone had a blast and can't wait to do it again next year.
Before the race, all nice and clean.

The race stated at 8 but they just left off groups of people every 2 to 3 minutes. That way the bubbles could pile up again for everyone. They did warn to make sure you hold your kids hands and keep walking or you'll get lost, and they weren't joking.
The beginning of our race.
The next color we came to was red...
and you couldn't help but get covered.

We really go lost in the blue bubbles. It took a while to get through the pile that built up.

Emery and Jacks used  their headbands to cover their eyes while they went through, which was a really good idea.

... I did find Camden. He got lost in the bubbles.

It was a 5K and the kids did a really good job with it. Since Cam had a hurt knee and he still had one more show that night, we may or may not have taken a few short cuts, but they still did a lot of walking.

At the end they had bubble canyons that let off a big spray of bubbles. Emery and Jacks loved this part the most.

All that was left to do now is rinse off all the bubbles with water and we were clean. We will do it again next year and recruit more to do it with us too.

Jackson Graduates

We had our last kindergarten graduation this week. Jacks is excited to be done I think he'll miss his friends and teacher. He does also think that next week when he turns 6 he gets to go to 1st grade the next day.
Now he can spend more time holding Luna like a baby, and yes Luna does like laying like this.
He is the cutest kindergartner there.

They sang songs and told us what they want to be when they grow up. He said a firefighter. One of the songs they sang was 'Grand 'Ol Flag' which he has been singing around the house all year. I think it's one of his favorites. Not sure what I'll do all day while all of the kids are gone all day, but Jackson is really excited for all that first grade has to offer, like getting a lunch box and eating at school.

Camden's Dance Recital

This year Camden decided to try out clogging. So far he has really liked it and done well with it.  He is going to do it again next year as well.
Thursday he was riding bikes with friends. He ended up taking a turn to sharp and fell off of his bike. To make it so much better it was right on his knee which he bends a lot dancing. We took out 3 rocks and he got out 3 more in the shower. We made him rest it all day Friday and he was able to dance that night. He is going to have a sweet scar but he doesn't seem to mind.
Every time we have gone to a recital parents get their kids flower. However we figured Cam would rather have cards and candy over flowers.
He did a good job and the show was really good. It's fun to see the beginners like him to the Pros like my niece Kiara dance. Watching them gives him something to work towards.

New Friends

While Grandma and Grandpa Barnes are away the kids are watching their dogs. It has taken a few days for everyone to get used to each other and not fight. Zack and Zoe are not used to all of the noise and how close Jackson gets when he plays with them. I'm sure when the week is over they will be glad to go home to peace and quiet, but until then they are stuck with all of this noise.

Birthday Party

This year the boys wanted to have an actual birthday party with friends. They got to invite three friends total. We took them to see "Guardian's of the Galaxy 2" then came home for pizza, cake, games and a sleepover.
The invite Brad made. It's actually the boys faces photo shopped into the picture.

One of the games we played was this saran wrap/prize game. We wrapped different prized throughout this big ball of wrap. When someone got doubles they got to try and get to a prize until someone else got doubles. It was funny to see how excited they got once someone got the the first prize.

You can see in their faces how into it they are. We told them a few times that it's a ball and rolls, but they still all tried to just rip though it...
Until over half was through when Camden finally listened.

Then they had an Injustice 2 tournaemt. Brad made a bracket and there were prizes for 1st and 2nd. We told the boys that they have played it before and got presents so don't go full force. Cam listened, Beck didn't... Beck won 1st, but I think all of the boys had a lot of fun.
One of the boys got really excited the closer he got to winning and kept standing up as he played.
Then they stayed up way to late I'm sure, but the boys had a lot of fun. Now it's almost time for Jackson's birthday.

Jacks' Book

Jackson made a book in class this week. The top of the page tells them what to write about. I love reading how they spell things and what they think.
"I have 4 boys and 2 girl in my family. We have fun."
 "I im a kool man!"
 "I like recess." (he's playing he's a ninja turtle)
"I have two dogs. Luna is a girl and Eevee is a girl."
"My favorite thing about school is bene (being) friends forevr."
He is pretty proud of his book.

Random Kids

This weekend was really nice and so we put the pool up for the kids. Jacks' swim suit is a little big on him still. They love to play in the water as long as they have water balloons, so once those go away they lose interest pretty quick.

Beck and his "Arrington" throw. (my family isn't the most athletic in the bunch, but we sure try)
The kids made me mother's day gifts at school. I love seeing how excited they are to give them to me. The boys made flowers. Beck's has the note.
Emery made the mom sign. It took me a bit to realize it said mom... or wow depending how I hold it. We now have all of the kids hand prints from kindergarten. I think it is a must do gift for them, but I love getting them. I like this one because it wont break.
Camden wanted to make cinnomin rolls the other day and once they were about done cooking I had him make the frosting. Not sure how he did it, but he got power sugar all over his nose. I tell the kids all the time a messy cook is a good cook, mainly because I'm a messy cook like my mom and she was a good cook, so I hope I am too.
