Winter Dance

This past weekend was the winter dance at Emery and Cam's school. Cam went with Cailey and Emery went with a group of friends. Pictures aren't in order, but after the dance they went and got a late night snack at McDonald's. A good choice in my book for some hot fries.

I don't understand the pictures kids take like this but they do it all the time.
Cam and Cailey got matching PJ's before the dance. It was casual, which means Pj's are the best option to wear.
He started the day off with going to a smash room with Cailey and her sister Abby.

Emery posed them for this picture.

Yes this is Cam and Cailey.

Stepbrothers

For Cam's yearbook you can buy an add page and put a sweet message to your child who is graduating. We recreated a picture from a move called "Step Brothers" and it turned out perfect. Just like the real one.

Robotics

Jackson joined a robotics team this year. His friend Luke is on the team his dad is a coach for, and they asked if Jacks would want to join. I think he was a little nervous to, but has really liked it. The start of the second snow storm for the year was the day their last competition was. Thankfully it was here in town. There are three rounds and the best score of the three wins on the course part. There are other parts, but they don't know who wont those yet.
These boys built a robot and programed it to run a course. You set the robot up, hit go (or something) and it does tasks. The best/worst part, it if it's off but even a half inch, the task doesn't work and they have to rest or just move it to the next one. We watched 2 runs, I wished I stayed for the last, but I thought it was going to be much later than it was.

The course of tasks they run. Each, if completed, is work different points.
Their first two weren't good, apparently. I thought it looked cool, but they didn't get many points. The awards ceremony was on a website that you could watch. When they went to call the winner from all 40 teams that day, he said they danced after their last run because they knew it was a good one, then he called Blockheads. Jacks' team won first in the course runs. We'll find out in a week or so how the rest of the competition went. Since the weather was bad, teams were able to do them at locations in their home towns, so that's the delay.

The final scored, they did really well on the last one.
The next 2 days were snow days from school. I love fresh snowfall.

Year So Far

It's been a busy New Year, but also not a lot has happened. It probably seems busier since the kids went back to school a week after the new year and have had 3 snow days.
Brad and I went on a date and decided to go bowling. We both sucked it up. Probably the worst game either of us have played. Him for sure, I'm not a good bowler, but I usually am not this bad. It was still fun to get out, just the two of us.
We have finally introduced Jackson to Magic the Gathering. It's a card game we've played with the boys for a while and Jackson finally asked to play. Beck usually dominates each game, but it's still a lot of fun.
The first snow day the kids made snowmen. Cam and Cailey went to a park to make theirs. It ended up pretty tall. Camden tackled it in the end.

Emery and Jacks' snowmen. One looks like it's leaning back.
Just for fun, a cute picture of Eevee, relaxing on my book.
This is how Jacks' took his Sunday nap. It doesn't look comfortable at all, but he didn't mind it.
