Piano Man

It finally happened, I found Camden a piano teacher. He has needed one that isn't his mom and who can teacher him more than I would ever be able to do. This past week he had his first lesson, and he's not so sure about it now. We told him for a few days to practice songs that he wants to play for her so his new teacher can see where he is at talent wise. Camden being Camden played one song once and thought he was good. When he did go he struggled through the song he 'practiced' and then tried to play one he hasn't played since May. Due to that she didn't get a good feel from where he was at. She could tell he knew a lot, but he didn't do the work he needed to. I will say she is so great so far. It is going to be the best thing for him to be able to grown as a pianist and to play how he wants to be able to do. On the way home I asked how it was and he said eh, he didn't like it. I knew he wouldn't, and we talked later. He didn't want to do it anymore, but we're not letting him stop. Camden said she gave him to easy of things, which i told him was kind of his doing since he didn't really show what he could do, due to lack of practice. We got him the new books he needs which seemed to help him feel better. I told him he has to give it 100% until Christmas break and then we would look at it again. I for one and really happy we found someone who will take him and am really excited to see how much he grows.

The First Few Weeks

I think we are getting all settled into our new, short time, living space. The kids have their rooms how they like them and are having a great time. Emery and Jacks share a room. We put the other PlayStation in their room and they love that they get a tv and the boys don't.
Camden is so excited he has his hammock back and they both love the shelves for their pops.
Emersyn and Jacks use Grandma's school space to play their own game of school. They named all of their stuffed animals and even made a schedule for them.
I think the dogs had the hardest time getting used to the new place. They had to try and smell everything and wouldn't relax for the first few days. I'm pretty sure they thought we were going to leave them. Both of them are finally eating again, so that is a plus.
They still aren't so sure about having to be leashed up to go outside, but are doing better with that. Now the only issue is them getting wrapped up with each other.
This month was Camden's special night and he wanted to go the escape room. Beckham's is next month and he wanted the same thing. We don't like to combine them, but with the rooms it's more fun with a groups so we took both boys. They still got their own meal out, they just shared the activity. We also had another group join us, so it was a big group. We escaped with a little time to spare. Both boys said they enjoyed it.
It's that time again.... school. By the time summer break is ending all of the kids are ready to go back. Emery got the teacher she wanted, and Jacks is loving his. It was a little cloudy on the first day in the morning, but it got hot after that. Since we don't like by Rock Creek any more, Emery and Jacks get a ride to school every day, which they love.
Camden and Beckham were more than ready for 7th. Beckham made it so he had band again, with made it so they have all but 2 classes together during the day. Camden was really excited, but was I think a little iffy but is liking it so far.
And of course they had to get their candy grams on the first day as well.
This is Emery's, her friends call her m&m for some reason.
 Jackson
 Camden
 Beckham
Since Grandma started another semester they same day too, she had to get a candy gram as well.
I remember growing up my dad would always got to differ fairs and bring home little prizes. They always have the businesses names of them, but we always thought they were cool. This weekend there was a kids fair and he took Jackson with him. When Jackson got home he had to show off all that he got.

We Did it Again

You know a few posts back I showed how we just re-did Emery's room? How we moved the rooms around? You know what is best to do after you get a bedroom just how you like it... you sell your house. We put the house on the market back in May. I swore after we moved into this house that I wouldn't ever move again, and then the market went crazy and we decided to try again. We had really given up and even took the sign down, but didn't take it of Zillow and that weekend we got 2 calls for someone to come and look at it. Since someone came we decided one more week and if we don't hear from them we're done. Well the day came again to take it off and we got another call. This time it seemed really promising. (this also was about 4 weeks ago) They loved the house and had a few things on their end to tie up. The saturation is almost exactly like the last house and when it was all said and done, we moved out in 2 weeks and close next month.
This is what I have been living with for 2 weeks. It may not look bad but this is one room and the OCD me can not take this moving mess, no matter how much I try to ignore it.
We gave away and sold a lot of things, couch included. So for a few days we got to use this tiny couch for all of us.
Yesterday we finished cleaning and are all the way out. We are at Grandpa and Grandma Arrington's until we build our next house! The dogs were not sure about this whole thing, and I think are still confused, but the kids are just happy to bring them along. Luna did like our Barnes pile of blankets we were taking with us.

Week Without Dad

About 2 weeks ago Brad had to go back to EPIC for some more training for a week, so it was just me and the kids all week. It is getting to the end of summer, so keeping the kids entertained was more work than normal.
Forever ago I got these temporary tattoos and finally found them again the other day. Camden and Beckham thought that they were cool to have. They last quite a long time too.

I also taught the kids how to play Monopoly. I have a major love hate with that game. It takes forever and is only fun for the first half of the game. The first time Beck lost everything and I told him he should flip the board so we could end that game. He was more than happy to.
Before it got too hot we went disk golfing with a friend from work. The kids did great for about half, then they just talked to the basket and waited for us to get there. Jacks I think liked it the most.

We also got to watch Hayden. The kids love having her over and all keep her busy. There was too much going on she wasn't sure she wanted to sleep. Thankfully she was happy. We did run some errands and she fell asleep for that.

I think Beck likes having a baby around the most.

The dogs weren't too sure of her, especially when she got a few good pulls in on the dogs tail or ears.
The kids were really excited to have Brad come home. Both because the missed him and they hoped he had brought them a gift, which he did. They made signs and cookies and when we got home and walked into the house they had the song "Celebrate" playing in the background.
