Swimming

The boys last day of swimming they were able to go off the diving board. I'm impressed they did it. Beckham just kind of goes off, Cam at least waits for someone there to help him.

Spring Break

This week is spring break for the kids. We decided a few months ago to go to Boise for the day. The kids have been doing chores to earn money to spend and finally the day came. They were all so excited to go.
First we went to Big Als. It's like a much much better Chucky Cheese. With every meal you bought you got $5 in game money. It worked out really well for us. We just bought lunch and didn't have to spend any money of tokens.

Brad and Jacks were playing a game and just happened to get the bonus. The bonus was 2500 tickets. The kids were in heaven and thought it was so cool.
They all got lots and lots of things.
After that we went to Toys R Us to spend their money. I have to say I was not looking forward to this part. They take forever to look for a toy, especially when it's their own money. Beck took the longest, which we thought he would.

Their sweet toys, and a tired Brad. Cam's toy talks and vibrates, and is annoying, but he loves it. Emery got some play hair styling toys, Jacks a toy hulk and Beck a LEGO set.
We picked a hotel with a pool, too bad the water was freezing. Luckily I was able to convince Jacks to play in the hot tub, so it wasn't that bad.
 Jacks relaxing before he swam.
When we go to the hotel the desk clerk asked how many we had so they knew about breakfast. I told her 2 adults and 4 kids. She upgraded our room for us and she gave us a room with a couch bed. It was so nice and so much room. The kids loved it and thought the hotel was so awesome.
Our last activity was a movie. We went and say "Mr. Peabody and Sherman" with my two brothers and their families. It was such a cute movie and all the kids loved it.
After the movie we ate dinner and played for a while. We were trying to figure out how to get Jacks to just go to sleep. He loves his bed and hasn't ever just slept on the floor or in a room with anyone. Brad put him in a drawer and he loved it, he didn't want to get out, even when we closed it.
So we compromised. He was able to sleep in the bottom drawer, which once we turned the light off, he was out in no time at all. He did wake up at 12:30 and I laid him on the floor on a quilt and he slept the rest of the night there.
I love going places with the kids and seeing their excitement, but I love coming home too.

Jacks.... Again

We were out the other day and Jacks didn't have time to take a nap. By the end of the day he was too tired. He fell asleep on the way to a store and I figured he'd wake up once he got into the cart, but he was too tired. Doesn't that look comfortable?
I was at work Monday and Brad text to ask me to get wound glue but didn't say why at first. Lots go through a moms head when someone needs that. He sent me this pictures. Jacks and Emery were playing and Emery said he "somehow" fell into the window seal. He wasn't happy, had a sweet fat lip and a nice cut. Brad said it was deep, but didn't bleed much.
It doesn't look too bad now. We were lucky it is where it is. Little lower and it would have been teeth, higher and a nose. One perk is it looks like a sweet mustache.
Things better slow down with him when he is three. This all boy tow year old it killing me. The other day we were at my parents house and I could see him walking down the stairs. He stopped about 6 ish stairs up.I knew what was going through his head so I yelled "Jacks NO" just as he jumped from them. Lucky he made it and lucky no broken bones. Anyone want to make bets on how long it takes him to break a bone?

Jackson

Last Saturday we got Jackson a new swim suit. We are going swimming on spring break and he needed a new one. Wednesday was Emery's last day of swimming and so I decided to see how Jacks liked to swim. We played in the pool while Emery had her lesson. He Loved it. He was scared at first but quickly gained confidence and then wasn't scared enough. He kept trying to get me to let go of him in the deep water. When it was time to leave he was very upset and cried almost the whole way home. I guess at least he'll have fun when we go later.

Don't let those cute pictures fool you, he can be a... well terrible two year old. He wore his suit all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. It was time for me to wash his swimsuit, but he didn't want that to happen. He cried for a long time over not being able to have it.

Isn't it so sad?The "best" part is I told him to put his suit away yesterday and now we can't find it. He has put it away so well we can't find it. Ugh why can't kids just put stuff away where it goes. Hopefully we find it before we leave.
I was distracted yesterday but could hear Jacks saying something. He was watching a show, so I didn't think much of it. When I finally looked at him I figured out he was saying he's stuck. I had my phone so I took a picture. When he say that he was no longer sad to be stuck, he had to see how cool he looked in the picture. What a fun two year old. He really keeps me on my toes.
So about 30 min after I posted this I found the suit... in the closet, not a drawer were it goes. I guess at least it was found.

Bikes

Emery is too big for her trike and Beck is too big for his Spiderman bike. So we up-cycled some bicycles. Emery said she wanted a pink and blue bike. We also got a few stickers to go with her 'new' bike. She loves it and does pretty well riding it.
We gave Jacks Emery's old trike, but didn't think he'd like the pink and purple colors. So his got painted silver and blue. He was really happy when we saw it after nap. We'll see if he can ride it now.

Emery's Week

Emery had a pretty good week this week. A few months ago Grandma Arrington gave Emery a sock purse and told her to save her pennies. Emery looked for them all over and saved up. On Tuesday she went shopping with Grandma and Grandpa at Deseret Book. She got a lot of fun things. She even got to go to McD's with Grandpa after.
She got some CTR earrings. Thankfully her ears are pretty much healed and putting them in and out isn't too bad anymore.
Then Saturday was her Special day. Thankfully she chose Chick-fil-a for lunch.
Then we went to Lazer Mania to play. She looks bored but shes just concentrating on how many tickets she's getting.
She loved this game but she kept throwing them like you would a baseball.
She really scored on the tickets. She got 1114 total. When we got there she said she was going to win the baby doll and she was able to get enough tickets for it. It was a fun time and she loved the whole day.

Dinos

The past month or so the boys have been learning about dinosaurs in school. They have loved it and the teachers sent home a project they could do if they wanted to. They could make their favorite dino. I'm not sure who was more excited to do this, the boys or Brad. I know Brad would have taken off with this, but we did have to let the boys help....
Camden did a T-Rex and Beck did a Stegosaurus. I think they both look pretty good. This is just the start of fun school projects we'll have to/get to do in the next 10 years of schooling that they have.

Window VS Football

It only took almost 8 years for one of the boys to break a window. About a year or so ago something hit our window and left a small circle break. The other day we told the kids to go and play outside because it was nice. Beck picked up the football, kicked it and smash. It had to have hit the hole perfectly because, as you can see, it broke. The look on Beck's face was a little funny but sad too. He has guilt when he does something wrong so he instantly felt bad and wanted to cry. It was just a stray kick and a complete accident so he didn't get into trouble. I think his guilt was punishment enough. Doesn't he look so happy in the picture?

Swimming

The kids are back in swim lessons. Since basketball is over the boys get to take it now, although it makes for 4 days a week of us going to the pool. They all love getting in the water and are learning a lot, so it is worth it. We have some cute, and weird boys.
And some skinny boys. Honestly, we do feed Camden. Beck is getting to the "eat everything in site" stage. He is always hungry, but some of his favorite things to eat are berries. I'm not sure how we'll ever have enough food when these two are teenagers.

Last Game

The boys last basketball game was yesterday. They played so well this year. Both of them finally got some confidence and tried to get the ball and got it a few times during the game. Poor Cam is so small that all the kids just run up to fast and he can't move far, but he is trying and doing great.

This is their team. I love the coach they have. He is all about learning the basic skills and them having fun.
Aren't they cute. Their coach got them head bands with their names on them. The boys love them and wear them around.
