Service Brings Out the Best

One thing about this ward that is good is our home teacher, he actually comes. This is probably the first time in our married life this had happened. This past month he challenged us to do more service and to recognize it in the little things we do. So we took that challenge. The kids did a great job, they helped at school, at home and in the public. It was a really good few weeks. This is out chain link of service.
One thing Camden did was help Emery learn to ride a bike. I'm not sure what he did, but he was out there for 2 days helping her and cheering her on. If you know Cam this is a big deal. One day she just took off and rode. With help from Cam and determination she did it. She was so happy and so are we! The first thing she said is now she can go to CSI with Grandma Arrington go ride bikes again. Now we just need to get Jacks a bike and we are all off.

The Falls

We went to the falls last week and they are going full. It was finally a beautiful day so we took full advantage of it. We all have a little cabin fever and loved being outside.

Lorax

In school they celebrate Dr. Seuss week around his birthday. One of the days it was dress as your favorite character and Jacks wanted to be the Lorax. We couldn't find any face paint around, and really we just hoped by the time the day came he may forget, but no such luck. We found some washable and markers and Brad drew the eye brows on and tired to call that good. Jackson however wanted to be orange, so this is what the end product was. He was happy with it so that's what mattered. Thankfully it came off  easy also.

School Dance

Last week the kids had a school dance performance. They have been practicing in PE for a few weeks and then performed them. It was cute to see all the kids dance, although after the first minute or so, the same move got old. They had fun and did a good job.
Emery is in the back. She has on a blue-ish green-ish long sleeved shirt.
The boys had a partner on the first dance, which is funny to watch them not sure if they want to touch them or not. Isn't 5th grade fun?
