Fall Out Boy

Brad and I went to our second Fall Out Boy concert Thursday, and we will go to any other ones they have close to us.
The opening act was... well interesting and not my cup of tea. He was a rapper singer, Wiz Kalifa. He could sing decent but his lyrics sucked, made no sense, and were all about weed. So as you can guess the fans of his liked that stuff too, and while he was on stage we smelled some interesting things.
It all led up to another amazing show.

The show got over at 11 ish. It has been a busy week so far and not a lot of sleep either. We didn't want to pay for another hotel so we decided to just drive home that night.,.. bad idea. The concert was in West Valley and we made it to about Brigham before we pulled off and slept for an hour. It was a lot, and kind of scary ride home. We got home about 4am and were both dead. Because of that we decided to stay at my brothers for our next concert and not try and drive home. Still the concert was awesome and we'll go again next time they come.

Lagoon

After the reunion we met up with my parents and sister in law and took the kids to Lagoon. It was so much fun to watch them on rides. Jacks didn't have any fear and loved his second time there (first time he was 3 months old). I didn't get may pictures of Beckham. Thanks to him being the tallest, he was able to go on bigger rides than the other kids, so he was with his older cousins most of the time Brad and I were there.

After Rattlesnake Rapids, yep, we got wet.

The only picture of Beck going on the newest ride.

Brad and I left early to go to our concert. The kids has so much fun, they didn't leave until 8pm. They loved this day.

Bear Lake

This past week we were at Bear Lake for the Barnes reunion. Our cabin had an amazing view of the lake. Bear Lake has to be one of the bluest lakes there is.
We had a room per family and so the kids got to all sleep on the floor, in a sweet row. Camden got mad at Jacks because Jacks kept hitting him the first night and the first night Jacks cried a lot, we later found out why. I am the type of sleeper that needs dark and quiet. I can hear the clock tick in the next room and not sleep because it sounds so loud. Well... Jacks was crying on and off, Cam breathes really loud, Emery snores and grinds her teeth (and not a little, a LOT) and Brad snores really loud too.... I didn't sleep well the first time.
Jacks had a stomach ache the first night and spent from about 3 am on throwing up on and off. Since we have two new babies in the family, and I didn't want them to get sick, Jacks and I spent the second day in the room.... watching movies and listening to music. He was all better late evening and the rest of the reunion was really fun.
The kids loved the lake day. It wasn't too hot, but that made it nice. The boys tired to build a sand hot tub.
Some played volleyball.
And Emery found a new best friend, Seonna. They spent most of the reunion together.
And a beach day isn't complete without burying a few people.

Apparently it's also not a reunion unless Brad eats the 1lb burger at Merlin's. This year our nephew Marshall joined in and they both finished it.

Another beautiful lake picture.

Random

This was all the pictures that didn't really fit anywhere else.
Before the reunion we had a few projects. One of them that Emery wanted to do was rainbow cakes. It is more like tie dye cakes, but they still were fun. Kind of messy but the kids loved layering the colors and having their own small cake to eat a little of.

Their finished cakes and Emery's cut open. They all said they were tasty and fun to make.
We also made sugar cube castles but I forgot to take a picture and by the time we got home they were falling apart.
I just let Jacks dress himself, unless there's something special they need to be, I really don't care what they wear. The other day this is what Jacks wanted to wear. A nice suit vest, white t shirt and bball shorts. He liked how it looked.
It's that time of year again, school starts in about 20 days! Tonight we got their school supplies. Even if you get all the cheap things you can, it's a big ordeal to get everything. The kids are super excited and can't wait to see their teacher and make new friends. I think they are a little nervous too because it's a new school, but it should be lots of fun. Last year I was nervous to have just Jacks home part of the day, I have to say this year I am actually really excited to just have one home.
Dear Twin Falls theater, learn from Utah's and get some sweet reclining seats. We saw a movie Wednesday when we were alone and I was loving the seats that they have there. The recline is so nice to have an watch a movie with.

Cam's Night

It was Cam's special night this past week. He chose 5 guys and "Ant Man." I really wasn't expecting much from the movie, but it was pretty good. He also at the end wanted to get something for the other kids, so we got them something from the $1 store. He doesn't talk a lot,but I know he enjoys them because of the smile he has the whole time.

Projects

Since we are finally settled we stared projects. The kids love doing them and it's fun to see them excited on the days we have them. One day we did pendulum swinging coloring. It wasn't quite as seamless as Pintereset, but the kids still loved it.

The point was to have a fixed object and move the pen to make different designs. Jacks played with bugs....

Next we did fuzz ball shooters. They didn't shoot far, but it was still fun. Jacks also found a new way to blow the balloon up.

Last for the week we did coke and mints. They did it at the Stadium of Fire and the kids thought it was fun, so we did it on a small scale. The best ones were Cam's in the background. Jacks and Emery didn't add them fast enough but it was still fun.

Cam also drank the foam that came out.

Beck just tried to hold his in his hands.

Fun Times

Since the boys have gotten better on their bikes we went with Grandma and Grandpa to CSI to ride around. Emery found this really cute bike at the store while we were getting helmets and just had to have it, thank you Grandma and Grandpa. She did fall once, but has gotten back on and kept going.
The boys were unstoppable. They just wanted to keep going longer and longer. The only reason we stopped was because Beck's tire has a flat. I'm excited to be able to do all of these bike rides with the kids now.
What do you do when mom is at work and dad isn't sure what to make for dinner... you play restaurant. They took each other's order and Brad cooked it. It was a lot more work than Brad thought it would be,but the kids loved it.

The Past Week

Jackson has always had a line on one of his front teeth. We really didn't think much of it, it just looked like it grew in weird, but we found out at his dentist appointment that it is a cavity. They sent us to a kid specialist dentist and he got it filled this past week. I HATE the dentist. Thinking of going is bad enough, but taking the kids is horrible. Jacks was a champ thought. He just laid there and watched the show they had on for him. The laughing gas mask looked so sad on his tiny face. They said they weren't sure if he would sit for all of it, but he did great and was able to get the cavity filled pretty quick. I think I was more nervous than he was.
We have tried a few time to teach the boys how to ride a bike. We get frustrated too fast and they give up on us too fast, so what did they need....  a day lesson with Grandma. Grandma worked with them on Wednesday for a little bit and they liked it. On Saturday night Camden said he could do it and didn't need any help. We told him to show us. While right at first he couldn't, after a few mins they were both riding alone without any help. Today they all went out and rode again. Beck is doing great, Cam is still a little scared, but we are so proud of them for finally trying and getting it.

Emery got bit by the ride the bike bug and has been trying all day. Shes doing well, just maybe needs a better bike. Soon we won't be able to hold her back.
There are so many nice things about living at Grandma and Grandpas' house. Like Emery and Jacks don't come and wake us up, they love to go up and see what Grandma and Grandpa are doing. Since all four of them wake up early it works. The bike riding is another perk. I forgot my snack for work and Brad was able to bring it to me. It's been a lot of fun for the kids and had been really nice and comfortable for Brad and I, we are all so grateful for all they are doing for us. A high perk for me is the mixer... yep a mixer. Mine broke about 4 months ago and so I haven't made bread or rolls. I know that sounds so... lame, but I really love to make both of those. I made a big batch of bread on Saturday, and it was even better in a good mixer. We may be having a lot of bread the next few weeks.
