Random

Kids copy what they see. Emery the other day wrote with dry erase maker on the mirror for us. The this past week they left a note for Grandma in the bathroom after their showers. They get the water pretty hot and took advantage to leave a  note. Grandma loved the little surprise.
Jackson had to get a cavity filled last Friday. I just kept him out of school because a numb mouth is the worse. He could only half smile, which was super cute to see.
Well I'm back at it. I decided to do the medical coding program. With moving to Boise, I think for me having a job where I could possibly stay home and work from home, would be the best. So far it is a lot of work and reading. I have had only a few tiny melt downs, thinking I'm not smart enough to get it. It's slowly getting better and better.
With reading all of the school things, I haven't touched my book in awhile. While I think the fact that I read so much has helped me read and understand the coding book, I really miss my 'fun' books. It's calling to me.

Seussification of Romeo and Juliet

The boys had another play this past weekend. Camden was Romeo and Beck was Monk Larry.  We weren't really impressed with the director this time, but the play turned out well. It was pretty funny and of course Cam and Beck did great.

Beckham even got to choke Camden. Emery said that Beck is normally like his character.

Lesson Learned...?

I think when you become a teen you are somehow uploaded with lame excuses and a foggy mind. After being grounded off the phone for a few days we thought everything was good. They seemed to be doing what they needed to. Then I checked their grades... We don't demand all A's but they do have to do their best and not fail. Camden and Beckham are too smart to fail, especially when they put forth effort. They had a few bad grades, so we gave them two weeks to raise them, which they didn't. Camden swears it's not his fault (lame excuses came out). To top it all off, Brad and I went out to get something and Camden asked if we could get balls... for an element project... that he's knows about for a least a month... that was due the next morning.  I love my teens.... I love my teens.

No Sugar

We did another no sugar challenge with the kids. This one was longer at 52 days. It wasn't always easy but they all made it. They had 5 days they could eat sugar and still get the full amount of money. We did tell them that getting 100% may have something else. Beckham is the only one who did 100%, which is why he is holding a controller. He also got a $20 gift card for the PS4.

With some of her money, Emery bought a gallon of glue to make slime. She has made a ton so far but she loved it.
Jackson saw this talking Pennywise a month or so ago at Gamestop. Every time we went in he had to make sure that he was still there and then he tried to hid it so no one would buy it. The day they got their money he begged to go so he could finally get it.
Somehow it is a comforting doll to sleep with. I don't understand this little boy.

Halloween

Getting only two kids costumes was kind of nice this year. Emery was a zombie farmer, with zombie veggies. Jackson was Jason Voorhees.

At work some of the girls wanted to dress up, so we were scarecrows. I never dress up, so this was weird for me to do.

Boys Party

This year the boys decided they were too old to trick or treat, so they had a few friends over for a party. Since Brad and I were taking the younger 2 out for candy, Grandma and Grandpa Arrington stayed home because they had both boys and girls over. They are saints for staying home with them and listening to all of their noise. I think all of the kids had a good time. They ate pizza and candy, watched a scary movie, played outside and played board games.

I think one of their favorite parts was making Root Beer with Grandpa. It was fun to do and to see the dry ice, plus is tasted good as well.

The boys have had a phone for a while. It's just a slider phone and mainly just used for us to know when to get them after school things. While planning this party they have gotten a lot of friends numbers, even some girls, and overnight they have grown up and moved into a new... kind of weird phase. Even though it's been only a week or so, they have learned the hard way that we are strict with our rules. They aren't allowed the phone in their room at night at all and therefore also not allowed to text late. Maybe day 3 of having all the numbers and one day after we told them the rules again, the not only kept the phone in their room, but they text until almost midnight. Their phone was taken away for a few days and they have been better since. I like them growing up and entering new phases, I'm just not sure I'm ready for them. Ready or not....
