Title Goes Here

I'm not sure what the attraction to our house it, but we have had a lot of random thing show up. First a salamander, which is still living in our box, then the praying mantis and now a leaf bug. The kids loved it, in fact the boys have kept it for a few days in their room.
In school the boys are learning the keyboard and for an assignment they had to write someone a letter. Camden wrote his to me. I maybe should at least try and act like I like the dog so Camden doesn't think I want another one. It was nice to come home from work and see this sweet letter on my pillow.
I love seeing the kids grow in their learning and Emery is growing a lot. She came home and read her first book to me. She is so smart and I can't wait for her to keep learning more and more.

Color Run

This past weekend Brad and I did a color run here in town. It was a lot of fun, alothough it rained, so that wan't fun. The run was a 5K and we were able to finish in about 35 min. I got really cold when the rain started, so it could have been faster.
Us pre-race...
Us post race. It was so much fun. There was a color throw about every mile. The rain really helped keep it on you. The only bad part is it stained your skin a little. But a few washes and it's about off all the way. Next time we are going to have the boys come with us. I think they would love it.

Emery is 6!

Today is Emersyn's 6th birthday. She is such a fun girl to have and I am happy everyday we only had one girl. (I don't think I could handle more than one.) She still is all girl. She loves to wear skirts to school and dress up. Emery loves to play with kids and be with friends. Too bad her mom isn't outgoing, so she has loved school and dance and all the friends that she has been able to make. She loves to pretend mom stuff a lot. Brad is still wrapped around her finger and possibly it just keeps getting tighter. Emery loves music and dancing. She has some interesting moves, but they are a lot of fun to watch. She still loves to give hugs and kisses and always says she loves us. Her and Jacks play together so well and have the best imaginations. Her favorite TV show is Sofia the First. Her favorite food is grilled cheese (she could eat this every day is we let her.) Emery's favorite color is red and her favorite toy is her Sofia toy.
Brad made her cake this year. It was pretty sweet. The inside was checkered, but I forgot a picture. The frosting was mmarshmallowcream, white chocolate chips and vanilla frosting mixed.
The wrtting really didn't work well, but you get the point.

Jacks trried to hide that he was opening a present, but he got caught.

She had a fun party on Sunday and today is really excited to take treat into class. We love Emery a lot and can't wait to see what the next year with her brings.

Boys Last Special Night

We fell behind on the special nights in the summer thanks to all the crazy things we had to deal with, so we decided to have a good one before the holiday's stated. This past weekend was the boys turn. They keep asking to go back to Lagoon, so we decided to take them there. It is Frighmares there now, so it was geared more to Halloween stuff, which was fun to see. They were really excited to go and couldn't wait to get there. The second we got there Cam's attitude flipped. He wasn't happy and didn't want to do anything. All Brad and I could think was how long the day was going to be if this kept up. We made them go on one of the regular haunted houses because  if they didn't like that, they ones set up for Frighmares would really scare them. Camden lasted till the first door opened to let us in. He hated it, but attitude had a lot to do with that. Beck didn't mind it. Next Beck and I went on the Samurai. He was scared at first but wanted to do it. It was so fun to hear him go from freaking out to having a blast.
Next we tired to get Cam to do a roller coaster that didn't flip upside down or go high, but he wouldn't have it. Brad and Beck did it though. It was looking like the day wasn't going to be much fun.
We decided to try one last ride with Cam. It was a fish one that went up and down a little, very easy and not scary at all. We showed him a mom took her 6 month old baby on it. Still in a crappy mood he got on (and by got on I mean I pretty much had to carry him. We sound so nice right now) I told him that today is meant to be fun and it will be if he lets it. If he doesn't want to be there we'd just go to the car. I told him they have shops and if he wants to look for something to remember the day he better get try and have fun. Snap, just like that he was happy. No joke it was a snap. The rest of the day was a lot of fun.
This was him on the next few rides. Even ones that were a little scary he stayed happy for. We were so glad it changed.
There were photo things like this all over. The kids loved these things but when it came time for the haunted houses to open they didn't want to have anything to do with them, which I don't blame them.

Their favorite was the dragon. They wen't on it three times. I love how happy they both look on it here.
Cam got out of a few rides thanks to him being too short. This was one of them. I didn't want to get wet, so Brad was up. The first picture Beck looks a little scared but they he really gets into it.

We went on a lot of rides and had a really fun day. I'm so glad we are able to have these days with just the kids one on one (well two on two here). When we were in the shop Camden asked first if he could get Emery and Jacks something. He was really excited to give them their prize when we got home. Next month we head to Boise for Emery and Jacks' night.

Scary Jacks

Last night was 'fun'. We put the kids to bed and lately Jacks has been weird and like his door open to fall asleep. We're fine with it as long as he stay in bed, which he usually does. Last night he came running and crying out of his room. At first we thought he was just scared of some random noise, but quickly noticed the scared look on his face and him coughing. He put something in his mouth and couldn't get it out. We ran over. Brad started a Heimlich move on him. I had to hold his arms down because he kept putting them in his mouth. He started to throw up a little but whatever it was wasn't coming out. I'm sure it was like less than a minute but it seemed longer. I finally put my finger in his mouth and felt what it was and was able to scoop it out. After he was still a little freaked out, which was probably the saddest part. Hopefully he learned and doesn't put stuff in his mouth again. I don't want to do that again. The while thing is the item that was in his mouth. I have not idea what it's to or what it is. When I was typing this he saw the picture and put his hands to his throat, he still remembers it wasn't fun.

Little Bit of Stuff

We survived the first few weeks of school. Emery loves it for the most part. She doesn't really like having to get on the bus after school. She says the boys take too long to get there and she gets scared. I think we have worked that out and she's doing better. The boys love being in the same class again, and I love it too.  Jacks follows me everywhere and won't leave me alone. I really think all of our pregnancies should have been twins. That would have made things a lot easier... well other than having 6 kids instead of 4.
With Emery gone half the day here and Jacks play really well together the time she is home. So for at least the morning I can get things done while Jacks is busy with Emery.
It's annoying fly time, which I hate. Around Valentines I put up window stickers to decorate. I must have forgotten one when I took them down, but we found it the other day. For one it was pink to start with and two... this is nasty. It did catch all the flies that were in Jacks' room, but looks nasty on the other hand. Looks like I need to open up the windows a little more.

Camden's Hair

We were in the store on Friday and Brad noticed Cam's hair looked weird. When he showed me it looked like they took scissors or our hair clippers to it, but that wasn't the case. Apparently Beck told Cam to stick gum in his hair and Camden did it. He stuck it in and ripped it out... a few times. I don't know how after the first time of pulling hair out he didn't stop, but it looks like it took 5 times to figure that out. Now he has some nice buzzed sides and no more gum.
