Easter Fun

This year we had 2 egg hunts. One weekend we went to Grandma and Grandpa Barnes' and had a small hunt with some of the cousins. It is crazy to remember how big and how many kids we used to have, and now only had a handful of kids who participate. The kids still had a blast and got lots of candy there.

My favorite picture from that weekend. Hayden gets a lot of attention from all of her cousins.
Then we went to Boise for a hung at Uncle Paul's house. Emery and Jackson helped fill the eggs. It was a madhouse when they all ran out to find the eggs. They again left with lots of candy and had a good time.

Quick Catch Up

It's been a while since I took pictures off of my phone, so here is a big drop of pictures.
The kids had conference upstairs again this year. They love doing the BINGO and actually listen when they do this. They had a bunch of candy and not prizes this year.

They set up their own BINGO sheet this year.
The boys wanted ice cream so I told them we had to walk to it if they wanted it. We walked the 2 miles there. The ice cream was ok, I'm not a huge ice cream fan as it is. Then we walked halfway back before the boys asked for Brad to pick us up. I think we could have made it the last mile, but they did a good job as it was.
For FHE Grandpa gave us a fire plan. Since we will be here for a while they decided we should be prepared. The kids had fun with it and learned a lot. I think Camden and Jackson's favorite part was jumping out the window. Uncle Bryan was there to catch them. Jacks had to make sure the door was too hot to open before he could jump out the window.

Our safe meet spot was the neighbor across the street.
Jackson has fought and fought when it came to learning how to ride a bike. He never has really care about it and really wouldn't let Brad and I help him. The boys learned last time we were at Grandma and Grandpa's, so we thought Jacks could do the same. He isn't as nervous, but he still is taking it slow when it comes to learning to ride a bike. Maybe someday he will do it by himself.
We are getting days of warm weather, then cold weather. We take full advantage of the good weather days and one of them we went golfing. The kids love going and they all did well. Two of them got a hole in one.
One one of the warm days the kids heard the ice cream truck. They spent a while outside waiting for it and after probably 30 minutes of waiting it finally came down the street. It brought back memories of getting ice cream. They still have some of the same weird types of popsicles that they did when I was a kid.

Jackson really enjoyed his.

Grandpa Movie Night

Grandpa Arrington had another stay in the hospital a couple weeks ago. After one of his attacks, he had Emery over. It was around the time she had her tonsils out and was being less than happy, he saw that and took her for a movie/treat night. It was just as much (if not more) for him as it was because we needed a break. Emery remembered doing it and loved it and was excited when Grandpa suggested they have another movie night. On the last night of spring break, they watch the old "Mary Poppins" and Emery ate some snacks. She loved it and Grandpa I think was grateful for her company. While we hope Grandpa doesn't have another hospital stay, Emery will be ready for a movie night when he gets out.

More Spring Break Fun

Grandma and Grandpa had a game night and ice cream party. Emery picked a lot of games for them to play.

Each night they read before bed. Jacks was hooked on the book he got to read.
And each night he was worn out for all of the fun they had during the day.

We had a girls night also. Emery was in heaven all week with all of the 'girl' around. We went to dinner at Red Robin and watched "Wonder Park." The movie wasn't too bad, actually a little sad.

We had a swim day. The older 3 kid and I had a short swim time, Jacks stayed back with Grandma and the cousins.
Grandma took them to the Herrits Center for some projects and a show. They all loved it and painted a rock.

They went to lunch together.
And the older 4 had a temple trip together.
Everyone had a great week but were very tired at the end. It was a fun spring break.

P!nk

Pink came to Salt Lake and Brad and I went and saw her. It was such a good show. We were a little high up, but it was still a lot of fun. She does a lot of silk work, which is crazy to watch. Pink actually sings live, which makes it even better. I loved the set list she did. Emery was sad she couldn't come, but I think next time I could take her. We'll definitely be going again.

She started off by swinging on the chandelier.
 A "duet" with Emenem.

During "Secrets" she and another dancer did a routine on looped silks, without any protection straps. It was so impressive to watch. Oh and she sang the whole time while doing it.
