Fun Weekend

The weekend was a really fun one. Since the boys were in the play "Music Man" in school, my parents wanted to take them to Utah to see it at the Hale Theater. All of the kids loved it. Grandma and Grandpa picked them up after school and took off. Emery learned how to knit a little. I remember when Grandma Nickles lived here and she taught me how to knit too.
Jackson fell asleep pretty fast though. (they had to have switched seats at some point in time because Grandpa is in both pictures...)
They ate at Maddox, which is such a good place to eat. The boys thought they were so cool because they got to eat off the adult menu, as Beck said, "because they're men now."
They went shopping too. Emery has yet to change her 'E' earrings yet. She loves them.
The highlight of most over nights stays are the hotels, kids love them for some reason. The got to swim twice and each had their own sleeping area.

And they also played basketball with Grandpa.
All of the kids loved the play. The Hale Theater is the best place to go. The stage moves all over and every play they do is always put together so well. Jackson however was confused why the boy who lisped was the only kid in the play. He thought it was going to be like the boys and everyone was a kid.

While the kids went there Brad and I went to Boise. It was just a day get away for us but it was nice. We went to eat and a movie and of course shopping. We were meant to shop for us, but Toys-R-Us is going out of business so we got some amazing deals and were able to start Christmas shopping already.  We initially got the scooter for Emery's Birthday and quickly realized we didn't have a place to hide it that was big enough, so she is enjoying it now in the nice weather. It has a motor in it so the first time she got it going it surprised her and she took off. Thankfully she wasn't hurt and she kept going. Now she loves it and zooms up and down the street.
