Spring Break

This week is spring break for the kids. We decided a few months ago to go to Boise for the day. The kids have been doing chores to earn money to spend and finally the day came. They were all so excited to go.
First we went to Big Als. It's like a much much better Chucky Cheese. With every meal you bought you got $5 in game money. It worked out really well for us. We just bought lunch and didn't have to spend any money of tokens.

Brad and Jacks were playing a game and just happened to get the bonus. The bonus was 2500 tickets. The kids were in heaven and thought it was so cool.
They all got lots and lots of things.
After that we went to Toys R Us to spend their money. I have to say I was not looking forward to this part. They take forever to look for a toy, especially when it's their own money. Beck took the longest, which we thought he would.

Their sweet toys, and a tired Brad. Cam's toy talks and vibrates, and is annoying, but he loves it. Emery got some play hair styling toys, Jacks a toy hulk and Beck a LEGO set.
We picked a hotel with a pool, too bad the water was freezing. Luckily I was able to convince Jacks to play in the hot tub, so it wasn't that bad.
 Jacks relaxing before he swam.
When we go to the hotel the desk clerk asked how many we had so they knew about breakfast. I told her 2 adults and 4 kids. She upgraded our room for us and she gave us a room with a couch bed. It was so nice and so much room. The kids loved it and thought the hotel was so awesome.
Our last activity was a movie. We went and say "Mr. Peabody and Sherman" with my two brothers and their families. It was such a cute movie and all the kids loved it.
After the movie we ate dinner and played for a while. We were trying to figure out how to get Jacks to just go to sleep. He loves his bed and hasn't ever just slept on the floor or in a room with anyone. Brad put him in a drawer and he loved it, he didn't want to get out, even when we closed it.
So we compromised. He was able to sleep in the bottom drawer, which once we turned the light off, he was out in no time at all. He did wake up at 12:30 and I laid him on the floor on a quilt and he slept the rest of the night there.
I love going places with the kids and seeing their excitement, but I love coming home too.
