Funko HQ

This past weekend Brad and I took a trip without kids to Seattle. It was so nice to get away and see some of what Seattle has to offer. I wasn't too excited to fly, but thankfully the flights weren't as bad as I made them out to be in my head. A big mountain top as we flew in.
There was weird art all over the place here.
This trip we decided to map out our meal choice ahead of time so we didn't just end up at McDonald's. First stop was Uneeda Burger, and it was totally worth it. Breakfast was a brewery that made doughnuts in the am and called it Side Hustle. It took a while to find it but it was so worth it. I realized how stupid I sound in Seattle when I ask if they have anything other than coffee (or beer) to drink.

Saturday we went to The Pop Culture Museum and it was really cool to look at. Brad and I walk pretty fast through, so it didn't take us too long. We didn't want to pay for the Space needle, so this is the closest we got.

A cool music park next to the museum.
Some pictures from it. The horror section was my favorite part.

There was a new section there for Marvel. They had lots of costumes and old comics. Some of the old comics were funny to look at.

This was an original costume from long ago. Somehow the blue faded to this purple shade.
Next we went down to Pikes Market. Our GPS took us to the worst part of Pikes that was so busy with people. When we finally got out of that we tried for a long time to find a spot to park. For some reason I thought that Pikes was by the pier so we walked and walked and walked, for 1.5 miles and found nothing. We looked on our phones and found we went too far and headed back. Saturday was a busy day to go and it was a lot of shops  that we really wouldn't ever shop at. We did find a comic book shop that had a lot of cool pops, which was the highlight. We left Pikes to try and find food. I like how in Seattle they have the menus on the outside of the building. We stopped at a place and we were both so hungry we just decided to go in and it was a good idea. They made their own pasta and it was a sour dough pasta. The food we got was so good.

When we left we walked to our car and found out that we were maybe 3 blocks from Pikes. We walked 3 or so miles to get to Pikes when it was just down the street.
After this we headed to the Mariners Baseball game. We were going to get a pop that was being given out and to watch a game. I have never been to a baseball game, so it was a new experience. We got our pop, ate some nachos, watched bating practice.

We didn't stay the whole game because it got cold and started to rain. It was fun to watch, although I won't be a baseball fan anytime soon.
The next day we went to Everett, the real reason for the trip. We came to go to Funko HQ, their big headquarters that sells pops and I just fun to look at and see. The drive anywhere in Seattle was beautiful. All of the rain and mountains made it so green and beautiful.
The drive didn't take as long as we thought it would so we got there about 1.5 hrs before it opened and there was already a line to get in. The line started at 6am. Even the outside was so much fun to look at. Someday we will bring the kids here. We got too many pops and saw so many more the family would have loved.

You could even make your own pop, which we had to do.

The ones we made.

They only let a certain amount of people in at a time and when we left there was a line around the building. There was also a comic book store that had older pops that we went to as well. Every store we went to had hundreds of pops, which puts our pops in Twin to shame. The kids heads would explode if they saw it.
Around the corner was a pizza shop that was highly rated and it was so good. I could have just had these bread rolls. So good.
We went to the a mall and got these cupcakes. There was good food all over the place there.
We came to Seattle with 2 suitcase and an empty backpack. We left with 3 full suitcases and a full backpack. We got lots of fun things for the kids and us. Other than going to Funko HQ, I don't think well ever got back to Seattle. The roads are so messed up and confusing that Brad got frustrated at the driving so much. If you missed a 'slight right' (which was said all of the time) you were 20 min off route and had to go all over to just get back on track. It was so nice to get away for a few days, but also so nice to come back and see the kids. They had a lot of fun here while we were gone as well. Jacks loves Halloween and all of the scary it is. Grandma found this and helped Emery and Jacks put it up. They are both so excited to have it up.
We came home to start our yearly tradition again, it is Halloween Wars time and all of us couldn't wait to watch it. I love having a show we all look forward to watching each week.
Our dogs are lame. Eevee was laying on the couch and I was cleaning up and threw a blanket on her. She loved the extra warmth and Luna made it better by going and laying on top of her.  I guess at least she was warm
