FFN

This weekend we did our Family Fun Night. Brad and I decided we will just plan them and the kids can come along. Before there was way too much fighting on what we would do. We did another escape room, a Pirate one. This was Emery and Jacks first one. When we got there, Emery did not want to do it at all. She was worried it would be scary and that she would hate it. We did one that was meant for a lot of people and we killed it. We had over 30 minutes left. In the end, all of the kids loved it and all of them want to go back and do more. 

For dinner we did another burger taste test. A bacon cheese from Big Bun, Bad Boy Burger and The Ranch Scottish Highland Burgers. Three was plenty. Big Bun won, but The Ranch was in a very close second. We want to try the Ranch again and try not just a bacon cheese. 

All in all it was a really fun family day. 

Camden's Turn

Camden asked Brad the other day to show him how to shave. He has a little dark peach-fuzz above his lip. He hates how it looks and wanted it off. 

It is interesting how Beckham likes the hair (or doesn't care if it's there) and Camden hates it and wanted it gone. Still can't wrap my head around the fact they are both old enough to shave. 

It's Back!

Friday I went into our bathroom and for whatever reason I looked up. It's back, the zombie, Never dead lady bug is back. While I don't fully think its the same one, I kind of worry it is. On a side note, how does out second story bathroom keep getting lady bugs in them? And if they are coming in, what else is able to come in?  

By Saturday it was gone, which I don't think that makes me feel much better at all. I'm sure in a week or so, they'll pop out again. 

 

Escape This

For Becks' special night he wanted to do an escape room. We did a jungle one and beat it. It was set up really well and was a lot of fun. That monkey in the back, it fell down after opening one of the locks and I may or may not have jumped... and jumped like 3 other times. 

Eleven minutes to spare in saving the world. 

Random

It finally happened, the dryer is dead. Since we moved the washer and dryer have been slowly dying. Brad did something and the washer is doing great. However, nothing has helped the dryer. We did get them before Emery was born, so they are at least 12 years old and have been moved a lot. It died, just after Cam washed his clothes. So we had to lay them out all night to dry. 

Thankfully our rental came with a washer and dryer, so we are just using that one until we want to get a new set.

Not much other than cute puppy and Jacks pictures. 

Big Project

The other day I cleaned the garage and noticed the kids memory boxes were over flowing. So we spent Sunday looking through all of our boxes and hope chest reminiscing. It was a lot of fun to see some old things and to make them easier to look at by putting pages in binders. 

Brad and I around the same time. My in 9th... Brad in college. 

Beck found his hobbit and Ewok costume and tried them on. He's grown a little. 

New Room Project

Camden wanted a room with a door. We told him a few options but in the end, he and Emery decided to switch rooms. To make the loft a little more private we put up shelves to have some make shift walls. Emery loves how it looks and it turned out. 

Now we just need to put contact paper on the brown of the shelves to make it look a little cleaner.
