Since our crazy week we really haven't done much, which I am ok with. We went to the library and the kids got a little book on tape. They spent the afternoon listening to it. It was nice to have it quiet and them 'reading'.
Beck is my son, He asks all the time to help me clean. I really try hard to give him something to do, the biggest problem is cleaning is a stress reliever to me and I enjoy doing it too. He decided to reorganize the entertainment center for me. Then he asked if I wanted him to do the same to the fridge. I thought he meant the front so I said sure. He meant inside.... After I saw that I told him he didn't have to do all of that work, but it was sweet for him to offer. Beck is funny and tells me all the time how much he likes to clean like I do and how well he listens. It is really nice how well he just does chores when I ask him to. Now I just have to remind myself that he needs to keep learning to clean and I have to let him help... easier said than done.
I have started to make the boys read for games. They have to read a few chapters and tell me what they read each time they want to play games. Why didn't I do this sooner. They have done really well with it and it's a great way to get them excited for books. They are readying Goosebumps. I read those so it's nice to see them come around and my kids liking them.
We did a few projects this week and here is one of them. We put nails in shapes on wood, then the kids weaved sting on them. We did this on my birthday, and later that night I got them back as my birthday presents.
And I also got this from the boys. A CD that Camden got at the concert, a few random toys, a coupon book and money. It's sweet to me because it's really all they have. They looked for all they could give to make me feel special. We really do have some sweet kids.
