Day 11- August 12th

Another thing I was excited to see was the Titanic museum. Titanic was built in Ireland and this was one of the best museums I've been to. The building is the same size as the ship was.

Replica of what the area looked like where boats were worked on.

The grass area is where the Titanic sat. You can see the outline of the front of the ship.
Another replica of what the area looked like.
A model of the Titanic. So impressive what they built with the limited machines they had.

An example of what the first class rooms looked like.
And the third class room.
The room that told and showed who died and survived was very somber. Playing were some people who lived and their accounts of it. One said they kept being told everything was okay so he and his friends were having like a snowball fight with the ice that had fallen onto the ship. Of the passengers, only about 700 survived and 1500 did not.
It showed and told the story of in 1985 of Robert Ballard and how he and a crew found the Titanic. He watched or read Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and became obsessed and focused on finding the ship.
This is a deck chair from the ship that was recovered.
These were from a couple of passengers who didn't survive. It is amazing of all they were able to recover.

I would love to go back and do this again.
Next we went to a movie. It was nice to relax and see how similar and different movies were there. Pretty much all the same, except no butter on their popcorn.
Last thing this day was getting candy. I may or may not have gotten way too much candy, but totally wroth it. Some was bought earlier in the trip, but all the chocolate was bought this night. This was our last night in Belfast and I was a little sad to leave. I was ready to be home, but also didn't want to leave.
