On Sunday Jackson turned 15! The same with the other kids, it's gone too fast. He started drivers ed, so our last one we have to drive around with for six months. I was in Twin for work, so we were able to have Jarom at our house for a week. The two had a blast. For his birthday we went and the 'The Backrooms' then had dinner at a BBQ place. On Sunday we opened gifts and the treat he wanted was Small cakes cupcakes. He wanted a few gaming and One Piece things for his birthday.
He finished his first year of High School this year. He wanted to go to Renaissance like his siblings and he went knowing none of his Jr High friends were going. The mom in me was a little nervous for that, but he loved it and made new friends throughout the year. He is really into gaming and gets online and plays with Jarom and friends from school. He still will clap when he does something well. He also likes art a lot still and took an art class this year in school. Its fun to see what he creates. Jacks has been watching and catching up on shows and movies that we or the other kids have said are good. Right now he is finishing the office. He loves to watch movies with Beck, when Beck suggests one that we will let him watch. Jackson did a Ted Talk in school about how younger kids now don't like to sit and watch drama movies. His teacher loved it and he got one of the highest scores. Jackson has always loved dramas and will sit and watch long movies that typically kids his age won't watch. He at the age where he is figuring out who he is and a style he wants. It's always fun to watch them learn and grow with that. It's even better when styles from Brad and my teen years are the things they choose. He has liked driver ed so far, but says that turning is the worst. Hopefully that gets easier because that's a big part of driving. He is a lot like Brad and very calm and mellow. Even Emersyn's friends notice that he nonchalant. He loves Dave's Hot Chicken and gets Uncle Paul to go with him as much as he can. Paul likes it more than the rest of the family. When I started these birthday updates, I didn't think much about the three questions I always ask them. Looking back now, there are so many other things I could have tracked that would have been better. But here we are. His favorite subject is History. His favorite food is fries (he is my son) and his favorite game is Cuphead.
