Weird Story

The afternoon we were sitting in the front room and heard a loud noise. It almost sounded like a car back-firing. We looked outside and couldn't see anything wrong. Later my brother came over and mentioned something about left over decoration outside and a bird. So apparently that noise was a bird that was zooming along and hit out window. Enough that it took the bird out. Kind of sad and really crazy. Birds hit our windows all the time, but never like this. 

Rainbow Puppies

Yet another day where the dogs get to sleep all day, warm and comfy, and I have to watch them while I work. 

Emery had a friend over the other day. She got some cheap tattoos and put them all over. A few times she forgot they were on her face and almost went out with them on. Rainbow Unicorns don't really scream tough face tatts. 

Fancy Monopoly

Beckham saw a video of some friends getting together, dressing up, having a fancy set up and playing monopoly. So what better thing to do Saturday evening than have a fancy game with your cousins and friend. 

The dressed up, Zander and Cameron went for fancy, Cam and Beck went for chest showing sexy. These boys will never be able to make fun a any girls who take pictures, they had a photo shoot as well.

They even went to a few stores looking fancy.

Beckham and Payton tied. They shook on it. Beck said it would have just gone on for an hour longer, which no one wanted. I love to see them doing fun things like this and hope they keep it up. 

Cat and Dogs and Heights

To say these mutts are spoiled is putting it lightly. They spend all day on our bed in blankets, then all night on the kids bed. They would not know what to do if Brad and I didn't work from home and they were in their kennel all day. 

We thought Luna left her bone is Becks room. Beck goes to bed earlier than anyone else and I was not opening it just for a bone. If you look more behind her, there is Eevee. She's is missing a bone; Eevee has it and Luna can't take it. They wont eat the bone we give them, they only want to eat the bone that the other wants.... dogs are not far from toddlers. 

Cold weather means cold Eevee. She sits right next to the vents to get warm. She, however does not like the air hitting her ears, so she is constantly shaking her head. 

Eevee thought she found a new favorite spot to sit, Brad did not enjoy it though. Luna saw her on Brad's shoulder and was very annoyed. Annoyed Eevee was that close to someone and Luna was not, and that sitting there was an option she never thought of. Maybe she didn't think that, but she would not stop looking at me.

The other night the dogs start to freak out barking. I thought Cam got Doordash, but they were not stopping. I go downstairs to see the issue. Asked Camden what was wrong and he said there is a cat in the house. We don't own a cat. I wished I had my phone with me. There was a cat on my piano. Cam got the dogs in the laundry room, and after the cat ran upstairs, we did get him outside. It was nice, it did have a collar. We got him out the front door then I ran to the garage door to see if that was open. The garage door was opened all the way. But to make it easier for the cat, the door from out house to the garage does not close all the way, it just pushed open. So the cat just walked right in and gave the dogs a big surprise. 

I do not like heights in the least, even just getting on a ladder. Camden does not mind, as you could see from a post or so ago. These lights have been out for at least 6 months. We just don't use them a lot and were too lazy. I could not make myself climb that high on an 8 ft ladder.

Camden

A couple weeks ago ISU did a health fair night at the campus they have here. It was fun to see all the different directions you can go there. It gave Cam some to think about, if he wants to go there or U of U before he goes to get his doctorate. 

One section was pharmacy. You could crush medicine to make capsules. His medication was smarties, but it was still interesting to find out and see different aspects that pharmacy does. 

His med, which we couldn't take because it wasn't actually okay to take smarties capsules. 

There was a brain room,

And a skull room. You had to put the bones back together. He did pretty good, with some video help. 

Cam is still learning to drive. He's doing better but looses concentration quick or things distract him, like music. I joked one day going home from shopping he can back in like dad. He thought he'd try and started to pull up to the driveway weird. I stopped him and said just to do it normal. So he was at a weird angle and Brad's car was a little farther over than normal. Not paying full attention to the passenger side he hit the side of the garage. It was more he drove very very close to the side. I had him park and get out and I fixed it. We could just buff it out, and really no harm was done, but still a little annoying. 

Could have been much worse. He didn't hit any of the metal for the door. 

Halloween

It's nice that all the kids are at the age they can paint or carve by themselves. I don't know why, I hate doing pumpkins, but it's kind of tradition.

Funny to see what traits come across in kids. My Grandpa Nickels concentrated with his tongue.  So does my brother Scott, I do at times. and we have video of Beck. I guess Cam is the next one. 

The boys and cousins went to a dance. This is their attempt at a pyramid, safe to say none will be cheerleaders. 

Cam was Jack from AJR and Beck just used an old bear costume. 

Emery went to Haunted World with her friend Jenna a few nights before Halloween. She was scared and LOVED/hated it. 

Halloween night she went trick r treating with her friend Kylee.

Jacks walked around the neighborhood with his friend Luke. I love that they were both just food. 

We had a decent amount of kids stop by and all the kids had fun doing their own things. It's kind of nice when you no longer have to walk around in the cold getting candy. 

Fun Ear

 I was blessed with the most bipolar skin. I have eczema and get weird rashes, but then I didn't wash make-up off some nights as a teen and never broke out, then starting at 8, I got cold sores on my face. So when I get a tingle or itch on my face I figure another sore coming. I haven't had a big one in a while, so on Tuesday when my face itched and had a few spots, all I thought was a sore.  

Wednesday not much had changed until we went shopping. My ear lobe itched and I noticed my right one was a little swollen. Didn't think it was a sore at this point and really hoped it was not.

This was Thursday morning. Little more red but my ear a little bigger. Just with work and something Brad had, I went in the morning to a quick care. Waited for a little over an hour and they didn't know what it was. It's not a cold sore, there isn't the pain that comes with those. They said it isn't shingles, the pattern of growth isn't consistent. And probably not eczema. That was left with a no answer, just on an antibiotic.  

Fast forward to tonight, it's much worse. No medication in me yet at this time. I really hope this becomes effective quick and works. Not liking the new look. 

Cam Climbs Again

The other day the kids had the day off school. Cam went to a climbing gym with a friend. He sent me this picture of a 50 foot wall he climbed. Yes he was hooked into something, but still nuts. Way too high up for me. 

 

The Big One Four

Emery turned 14 yesterday! Just like every year, I can't believe how old they are all getting. How quickly it is going. Only four more years and she's an adult. She opened her gifts the night before her birthday. She looks so happy here. 

Then was sarcastically happy. She loved the scent of Butterfly from Bath and Body Works, so she got that, a bracelet making kit and of course a bag. 

For her party she had 2 of her friends over. They wanted Happy Meals for dinner, went to Walmart and Albertson's for snacks and toys. Then they came back and covered Jacks with eggs. Why? Who knows. Emery joked about it a week or so ago but Jackson thought it sounded funny. He had an outfit picked out for it and everything. I watched to make sure he was having fun. 

What a beautiful smile she has! 

Emery is such a fun kid. She likes to joke and play jokes on her siblings. Her and I joke with each other also. When she was little, if she was mad she was stone faced, wouldn't talk or look anywhere else. She is much the same, but I am able to bug her enough to get her to talk when I see that is what is needed. She is like every teen now and loves her phone. While at times its a bit much, I do like to see that  she is talking to friends. It was hard to see her when we first moved here and they all didn't know many people. She has really grown to love Boise and the friends she has here. Emery loves to spend time with her cousins too. I love how close they have gotten to family here. Emery is very creative too. She loves band and is going to do Jazz Band too. The bracelets in the picture she made and has made a few other ones too. Her and I are watching Pretty Little Liars together. I have watched it before so I know what to expect with it. It's good, but gets so bad. Even with that, it's fun to have a show to watch together. When I was a teen I used to write all my notes on my hand. We didn't have cell phones and paper gets lost-I hopefully wouldn't lose my hand. My mom hated it, or at least told me all of the time that I should just use paper. Well there is Karma and Emery is the same. Not so much notes, but random words and pictures. I'd be lying if I said it didn't bother me, but I try to not let it, since I was the same. She still loves to cook and just recently asked to make a meal almost every week. Her and Beck both are wanting to get better at cooking and are trying to more often. In a few months she technically could take drivers ed, however I need more than a 3 month break from driving with a new driver. So she does have to wait a bit before that. Emery's favorite food is chicken nuggets. Her favorite subject is her English class this year and her favorite game or toy is random arts and crafts.
