Our Last

Today I registered Jackson for school! He will be going to kindergarten this year, which doesn't seem possible. Our baby is now going to school. I will only have 1 kid home half a day now I'm still not sure what I think about this. I'm happy he's going to get to go and learn, but sad that all the kids are growing up way to fast. He was nervous to talk to the lady. They just ask them a few questions to see what they already know, and even though he knows a lot, he really didn't want to talk much, which I totally get. I've never cried dropping the kid off at school... we'll see how this year goes. 

Boise

 This weekend we made a quick trip to Boise for a reception. On the way Jacks and Emery fell asleep. It's amazing how the kids can sleep. 

 Then for most of the way home there was a rainbow. it was really big and bright. The kids loved getting closer to it. This was defiantly one of the less boring trips home. 

Warm Weather!!

We are all more than ready for the weather to become nice again. This past week we had a few days and took advantage of it and went to Centennial to enjoy the weather. 

 Camden climbed to the top of the rocks on his own. Too high for my liking. 

Few Add-ons

Brad noticed I didn't write about a few things we've change, so I decided maybe I should. We finally got a different car. Our last car was ok, but it had quite a few problems and it wasn't worth the money to put in to fix it. We were really lucky to find this car and it's perfect for us. It's a Dodge Journey and we all are loving it. It is so much better than the other car. 

 We also got the best thing ever, a hoop. The kids play with it all the time, especially Camden. The kids are finally meeting neighborhood kids and they play with them all the time outside with it too. It definitely was a really good buy.

What I'll Miss

Jacks turns 5 soon which means he will go to school in August. While I'm always excited for the kids to try new things and grow, it hit me this week how much I'll miss having someone home all day with me. He comes out every morning and we just sit on the couch together for a while before breakfast. Then at quiet time he will lay on me again while we watch a movie. He's such a sweet boy who loved to cuddle and I hope he always stays that way.

Another Catch Up

I really need to get better at doing this again. When I put it off I tend to forget things we've done or funny stories of the kids. 

We had the Barnes Easter Party. When I came into the family it was packed full of young kids, now it's getting less and less. The kids love that though because they get lots of candy and prizes. The kids all had a blast. 

 Jacks wakes up early often (like 4 or 5 am) and sometimes doesn't go back to sleep. This day must have been one of those days. This was about 9:30 and he was out. His outfit was fun because he had on a shirt with a monkey with glasses and a sideways hat on it. He thought it was fun to dress like his shirt.  

 Emery and Beck have started soccer. I have a feeling the weather will be really hit and miss. It was windy for their first games. 

 We had a friends kids over the weekend, they had fun watching the games too. Emery loves hanging out with their daughter.

Spring Break

This past week was spring break and the kids had a lot of fun. We told the kids that if they did enough activity to get to Lagoon we'd have a fun day with them. For ever 30 min of activity they did they got 1 mile. We've been working on it most of the year, so it was a lot of work but also fun to see them work. 

We went to balanced rock again, mainly to get the last few miles we had to go. I'm fine climbing up, down is another story. 

 The kids didn't have fear though. 

 On Monday we went swimming at Miracle hot springs. It was cold outside but hot in the pool, which made it perfect. Next we saw Zootopia and had snacks. 

They then got to sleep out in Grandma and Grandpa Arrington's trailer. It was a lot of fun being with them all week. We had a "Hunger Games" marathon with the boys, baked with Emery, played games with them all, and of course, slept in. It's a lot more work to have spring break as an adult then it was as a kid. 

Recorder Concer

The boys had their first recorder concert yesterday. They did a good job, but the thing you don't realize when you are the kid playing is how loud they are. Camden is acutally using the recorder I used, and they are even at the school I was also. 

 Beck is in the back almost just behind Cam.

Catch Up

It's been a busy few weeks here, so I haven't had a lot of time to blog. Here are a few highlights. 

We watched Brad's boss' dogs. There were 3 yorkies. I personally don't want a dog that small, they get out too easy and run too fast. The kids loved it though. 

 Emery got an award at school for being leader of the month. She got to have lunch with the principal and a metal. Emery was really excited to be this.

 We were at FHE at Grandma and Grandpa Barnes this month. Jackson is a lover, he loves to hug and kiss, but not everyone is as passionate. He really loves his cousin Greyson and wouldn't leave him alone all night. Grey was a good sport about all of Jacks affection. 

Emery's Day

Emery had her special day this weekend. It was nice to do something other than a movie. We went to Arctic Circle and Lazer Mania. She's not very talkative, but she was smiling the whole time, so she had to be having a good time.
