Spring Break

This past week was spring break and the kids had a lot of fun. We told the kids that if they did enough activity to get to Lagoon we'd have a fun day with them. For ever 30 min of activity they did they got 1 mile. We've been working on it most of the year, so it was a lot of work but also fun to see them work. 

We went to balanced rock again, mainly to get the last few miles we had to go. I'm fine climbing up, down is another story. 

 The kids didn't have fear though. 

 On Monday we went swimming at Miracle hot springs. It was cold outside but hot in the pool, which made it perfect. Next we saw Zootopia and had snacks. 

They then got to sleep out in Grandma and Grandpa Arrington's trailer. It was a lot of fun being with them all week. We had a "Hunger Games" marathon with the boys, baked with Emery, played games with them all, and of course, slept in. It's a lot more work to have spring break as an adult then it was as a kid. 

Recorder Concer

The boys had their first recorder concert yesterday. They did a good job, but the thing you don't realize when you are the kid playing is how loud they are. Camden is acutally using the recorder I used, and they are even at the school I was also. 

 Beck is in the back almost just behind Cam.

Catch Up

It's been a busy few weeks here, so I haven't had a lot of time to blog. Here are a few highlights. 

We watched Brad's boss' dogs. There were 3 yorkies. I personally don't want a dog that small, they get out too easy and run too fast. The kids loved it though. 

 Emery got an award at school for being leader of the month. She got to have lunch with the principal and a metal. Emery was really excited to be this.

 We were at FHE at Grandma and Grandpa Barnes this month. Jackson is a lover, he loves to hug and kiss, but not everyone is as passionate. He really loves his cousin Greyson and wouldn't leave him alone all night. Grey was a good sport about all of Jacks affection. 

Emery's Day

Emery had her special day this weekend. It was nice to do something other than a movie. We went to Arctic Circle and Lazer Mania. She's not very talkative, but she was smiling the whole time, so she had to be having a good time. 

Camden's Speech

The kids school has this leader in me program. It is meant to teach the kids to how be more independent and work for the things that they want in life and school. I really like this school and the program. The kids really like it too. The school had an essay contest for each grade and the kids told why they liked the program. Camden won for his grade and read it at a presentation today. He has so much confidence and talks well in front of people. We're so proud of the boy he is becoming. 

Pinewood Derby

Tonight was the boys pinewood derby. Last year they got last in every race, so we just wanted them to win at least one.

 We were surprised, Beckham got either 1st or 2nd in almost every race and Camden got 2nd or 3rd.  Their cars did a lot better this year. 

 Beckham was 1st overall in his pack, so that means he gets to go to district. He is really excited and can't wait. 

 Beckham also got 3rd overall. He got a sweet trophy to go with his win. 

Marvel Live

This weekend we went to Marvel Live in Utah. We go to Disney on ice a lot, which is princesses so it was time to go to a show with more super heroes in it. It was pretty cheesy but the kids loved it was was a lot of fun to watch. 

 Jacks got his face painted like wolverine. 

 We went with a friend and their son. Jacks loved having a friend with him.

 In the smoke it's Spider-man hanging upside down from Green Goblins flying thing. 

 There was lots of fireworks, cars and motorcycles in the show doing different tricks. It was fun to watch. This was the point where Hulk came out. 

 All the heros at the end after they won. We'll definitely go again next time it comes to town.

Valentines Day

The kids love Valentines Day at school and all the candy they usually get there. This year after school they left little notes in our bathroom. They may be recycled ones, but at least they thought of us. 

 Brad hasn't been feeling well. so it was up to me to be crafty and help the boys make school boxes. Theres a reason Brad normally does this. Beck did a Lego box.

 Camden wanted an alligator. Brad later told me that his eyes are in the wrong spot....as if any 4th grader will notice. 

Sick Jacks

A little while ago Jackson was sick. He threw up a little and when the kids do that we give them a bowl. He must have thought he was going to all night because he fell asleep like this. No was that bowl smelled good. 

Stairs

We changed a part of the house already. Brad had an idea to try this out. It's pretty bold but we like it. Well see how long other things last before we paint again.
