Temple Trip

Camden has gone early morning to the Temple a few times this year with cousins and friends. The other day, after a YM temple trip, Jackson asked to go to the Meridian Temple. Our Temple district is Boise, so they mainly go there. It just happened that weekend, yesterday, Camden was planning another trip. Since it was early I went to make sure Jackson was ready and got to sleep early but when I went to check on him, he was prepared and asleep. I closed his door and about 10 minutes later he woke up for a little bit, but he still got sleep before having to wake up early. He loved the Meridian Temple and loved going with his brother and friends. 

 

Sisters

The other night the dogs were in our room before bed and it hit me that one day it will just be Brad, me and whatever dog we have at that time. Which will kind of make the dog(s) our world, at least until grandkids. So I'm sure most pictures and posts will be of them; I'm going to embrace it now. 

Eevee is a brat and a baby. She has her spot on a chair in our room. She lays there all day and sleeps. Luna mostly stays with Brad but comes up now and again. Today Eevee was not having fun with Luna. Luna was too close to her and too much in her spot. First just annoyed,

Then angry and wouldn't look at anyone. I did move Luna a little to make Eevee happy. 

I may need help if all my posts become about dogs.

They're Off

It's weird to think we have been in Meridian for almost 3 years now. Everyone has changed so much. Emery being one. About 2 years ago she got braces on. Look how baby she looks!!

She got hers on after Camden, but got hers off before him. (the orthodontist wanted Cam's just a little more perfect.... neither of us cared, he just wants them off). Emery did and still does let Cam know how she got them off first. While she doesn't look excited, she actually is. 

When she came out of the office she tried to now smile, but it didn't last long. She loves having them off and her teeth look great. She did have to eat Chick Fil A as a first meal without braces.

 I know I'm partial but she's a beautiful young woman. 

Impressive

 

Both boys have been doing work to get muscles. They have been working hard and doing really well. Camden likes to do body weight work, and wants to do some insane sort of pull up, but for now, here is this, even at my best I can't fathom this. 

Greyson's Home and FFN

I can't believe it's been 2 years but time flies. Greyson is now home from his mission in North Carolina. He did an amazing job and had a great time. We will go hear him speak in about a month. 

I remember my brothers coming home and them saying how much people change, and I know that's true for our kids, looking back at pictures before he left, they all looked like babies. We went to lunch and talked a bit before they headed home to see his dog.

We did our Family Fun Night today as well and did an escape room. While we did escape, we didn't in an hour and needed a lot of clues... and a few manual helps. The first room made 0 sense and one of the last things didn't work so it suddenly became 'voice activated' aka the guy in the background just unlocked it. While it was fun, some of the clues were insane and didn't make a lot of sense. While nuts it was still fun to do and fun to just hang out. 

Bones

Dog siblings are just like human siblings. They sit on each other (and fart on each other but they I'm not sure can control that). They take each others food, they steal where the other one wants to sit, they interrupt attention being given to the other to get their own, and they steal their treats. Every time they get bones they will chew the one they got for a little bit and then just watch the other dog to leave theirs unattended. Once that happens, they run over and steal the other bone. Luna will hide her bone and just watch Eevee so Luna ends up with both. Sometimes Eevee gets ahead of Luna and takes the bone from Luna, that's what happened this night. Luna is trying to tell on Eevee for taking her bone. She sat next to Eevee for a good 20 minutes just waiting to Eevee to leave.....

And it paid off, She got it back. This happens all of the time. Luna being the bully most of the time. 

Emery Band

 Emery had a band concert the other night. She for one will not look at us very often. Probably because anytime she does we wave big or smile big at her, and she doesn't like the attention. The songs sounded good. This is her last year doing band. She decided to no do it again next year. So only a few more concerts for her.

A pen, a Bird and a Hand

 You know those annoying things you do as a kid/teen that your parents tell you 'just wait until your kids do that;' Emery is doing one of those. I did find it unfair that Brad's karma kid quirks I had to/ got to deal with being a stay at home mom, but there are plenty that are karma for me. When I was a teen we didn't have phones to make notes on, and why use paper to write on. I would always keep notes on my hand. Things I needed to do or remember and it would bug my mom. Semi joking but also I think she just didn't get why. Emery does not keep notes, she just draws on her hand most days. Usually the color lasts a few days, and then time for the next one. While it doesn't fully bother me.....WHY?

I am a little picky with pens. If you don't know why, you don't know my dad and how much he likes a good pen. I bought two not too long ago and one day I saw one in the boys car. I took it and put it inside and a week or so later I took that car and back again was the pen. I took it and put it in my purse and didn't think much of it.  The kids all come to my room to tell me about their day at school. Beck was laying on our bed and saw the pen sitting on a journal. He asked where I got it and I told him. Apparently Beck got the same pen from work to write names on the cups, and I kept taking his pen. What can I say, it's a good pen.

Emery is starting to crochet and she finished her first bird. I think it's pretty cute and she did a good job. Meet Salmonella Vegetable. Her friends gave it that name. 

Camden Can Drive

We have another driver in the house. In February Camden was able to take his driving tests. He had a slight advantage because he used the same final drive instructor as Beckham did, so we knew the route he was going to take and able to practice it beforehand. He passed that first try. 

Written took a little longer; he didn't pass the first time but did the second. He likes not having to ask Beck or me to take him anywhere now, he can his own. However I'm not sure they love sharing a car, more of an adjustment to Beck than it is for Camden. 

Jackson Band

 Jackson had his second band concert the other night. I was gone for his first one, so it's nice to be able to go to this one. It was the 6th graders with the Symphonic Band from the High School. Jacks' band played a few, the HS played a few and they ended with a song together. Both band did a good job. It's fun hearing the start to the excelling.
