Movie Day Take 2

The kids loved movie day so much we decided to do another one. It was also a last party before school and it was fun.
We did robot theme and watched "Big Hero 6," "Star Wars," and "9."
The Baymax cupcakes we made.
We also had robot oil aka mountain dew and made light sabers or chocolate covered pretzels.

We are going to have to get creative and think of more, the kids likes these days too much.

First Day of School

Well it happened and this time it came sooner... the first day of school... the first day all my babies are gone to school (well for at least a half day). I have to say it was better than I thought it would be, but still not sure I like it.
Jacks was so excited and couldn't wait to go. He and Emery put out what they were going to wear in the morning the night before.
Don't they look so cute and ready to learn? They were excited go to a new school and new teachers.
This was the frist year Brad hasn't been able to take the older kids to school with me, but thankfully he was with me when we took Jacks. He's too tiny to go right?
Thankfully he was happy to go and didn't cry because if he did I would have lost it also. Even Brad said it was a little more sad dropping him off. It is our last very first day of school we'll have to do. Next year they'll all have been in school and pros at it.
To ease our pain we went to a free meal at Red Robin, because what's better than that?
They all love it so far and love their teachers. Since Brad worked the first day but had the second day of school off we did the annual candy grams the second day of school. The kids love these and look forward to the fun things they say. Here's to another school year of work, friends and waking up early...

House Work

We have hated the brick wall in front of the house since we moved it, but have put off taking it down. We finally did this weekend. We put a little on the side of the driveway so the kids have more room for the hoop. The rest is stacked at the side of the house, but will soon be used for some things we have planned for the back. It's so much more open now and we love it. We are looking for a small open fence to put up in the brick walls place.

Long Post

Without kids in school, summer stays pretty busy. I haven't taken the time to write, so here is a post 'throw up.'
Emery had her special night. I love these and how excited they get to go on them.
I haven't taken a lot of pictures of the projects but we did make cookie pizzas. They were pretty tasty and the kids had fun making a mess.

Camden got some sap in his hair and instead of washing it out or asking for help he cut it out himself... and cut to the scalp.
We walked around the temple for FHE, I don't think Jacks can take a serious picture when he knows the camera is there.
We had a reunion at Bear Lake. Again I didn't take many pictures but it was a lot of fun. The beach is always a fun time.

We played a game and if you lost you had to eat or do something gross. Everyone was nervous for what they would have to do.

Emery had to smash and egg on her head. She was a good sport.
We did a lot of Pokemon walks which the kids loved. There was a pool near where we were staying and the boys swam there the good part of an afternoon one day there also.

School starts next week! So crazy and way to fast. Jackson goes this year and he is so excited. This past week the kids had doctor appointments to make sure they are ready and Jacks had his first eye appointment. He thought it was pretty cool to sit in the chair and look at the pictures. If he and all the other kids could stop growing that would be wonderful. It's going by way to fast.
