Wonderful Morning

This is either a new way to keep Jacks out of the flour.... or another .... mouse. The second is right. I am really sick of cold weather and snow and really really sick of mice. We had a good run without any but it was too good to last. Camden was getting a pop tart and looked down and saw a mouse in the four. I closed the door and sealed it off, but thanks to Brad (That is said in a real sarcastic voice) I had to open the door and trap it this way. It is better, I just didn't want to do it. The other day I noticed that the flour was low and was going to fill it up but never did. I guess it's a good thing, now only a little will have to be thrown out and not a whole bag. Emery was sad to see this because she said if the mouse stays like this the mouse will get all dusty... I guess she cares more for the mouse and not my nerves freaking out.

Emery

The other day we had Greyson stay the night. When we do that, the boys get to stay up later and play. Emery still has to go to bed around normal time, but she gets mad that she is the only one in bed. To stop this we usually have the boys just go lay in bed till she falls asleep and then they can come back out. I think she has caught onto it, she wouldn't go to sleep and was just playing around for a long time. She finally put these bags on her eyes and they must have been nice to have there because she was out pretty fast after that.

Basketball

Beck had his last basketball game on Saturday. It has been a fun season. Beckham has improved a lot in the few weeks he's played. I really liked his coaches. They were trying really hard to let Beck get a basket. The kids who normally took the ball up and got the shots were told to pass it to Beck when he was in. Beck almost made it. He just had fun playing the game and I think he'll  do it next year again.
The coaches had these plaques made for each of the players. Beck thought it was awesome and wore his medal and plaque around all day.
Beck wanted them on the wall, so Brad made this little set up for it. Beck thought it was awesome.
Now we just have to have him practice for next year... and hopefully Camden can play too.

Valentines Party

On Friday the kids had a Valentines Party with Grandma and Grandpa Arrington. They went to dinner at Chilies to start it out. The kids love Chilies, so I'm sure they were really excited to go. Next they went to a Valentines dance. The kids had a blast. They danced a lot and had a ton of fun. I guess sometime we'll have to take them dancing. Next they went back to Grandma and Grandpa's for a movie and popcorn. The kids are still talking about how much fun they had.

Valentines Day

First an update of the old men pictures. The teachers at the school loved the boys outfits and hair. Their teacher took a picture and sent it around the school and people kept coming in and seeing the boys and feeling their hair. The picture must have also got sent to teacher all around because my friends mom who works at Harrison school got the picture of the boys. Most people thought it was a flesh cover on the top of their head or make-up. Now their hair is mostly even and short, but the boys had a real fun day with it, and it added a new twist to the 100th day of school.
Today is Valentines Day and the boys were excited for their party. If your dad's name is Brad Barnes then you can't just have a boring box, it will be awesome. The boys told him what they wanted it to look like and Brad really delivered. Again they were the talk of the class (this one only went class wide). Beck's was Finn and Cam's was Spongebob.
Emery had to join in the fun, so Brad made her a small princess box. She was excited to see it this morning. The boys even gave her a valentine in it.

100's Day

NOTE: the boys asked for their hair to look this way...
Today was the 100th day of school so the kids were able to dress like old men. The boys were so excited to do this, and asked for us to cut their hair like old men.

They do make some cute old men. This is their old man pose.
Now they get to be bald tomorrow all the way.
They were old men once before... when they were 2. Man how they have changed.

Our Kids

The other night we told the kids to just play. They get certain amount of game play a day and used it up. Beck decided to read books to Jacks. It's nice that they are learning to read. Jackson loves books and Beck, so it went perfect. Jackson is just learning names, but he called Cam and Beck 'Beck'. Camden hasn't noticed yet.
Beck figured out what to do easy. Cam threw a fit. Beck came into the front room and then Cam left. We looked all over and couldn't find him, but I could hear him snore (they ALL snore loud). I looked behind a pillow in Jacks room and found him. It amazes me how tiny he can get. I guess good thing it was close to bed time.
It's been nicer lately  Hard to believe high 40s is nice, but it is. Jackson is going to LOVE when Summer really comes. He stayed on the swing for 30 min or more and by the time he cam in it was getting colder. He was shivering and still didn't' want off.
They all loved being outside in the fresh air. It's good to see Cam playing on that bar again. It means his arm is getting stronger, just hope he doesn't fall again.

Castle Emersyn

I got tired of putting blankets up on the table and trying to make them stay, so to solve the problem I made something. This is Emery's castle. Well I guess it could be Emery and Jacks castle because they both love it. It's a lot easier to put up and I think more fun.

I made a window, which I'm not sure I like anymore. It's low to the ground and bigger than I thought. Jacks had climbed through once, and if he does much more it will rip.

Brad B-Ball

Beck isn't the only one playing basketball right now, Brad is also playing church ball. The games are usually after the kids go to bed so I can't go but last night it was early. It's interesting to watch this age group play. They are either really good and know what they are doing or are there to just get out and do something and aren't quite sure what to do. Brad is one of the good ones. The picture is one of the 3's he made. It was actually a good game. They were tired in over time but lost at the last second. However Brad did roll his ankle  so who knows how much longer he can play. It's the second time in a few years he's done it. Today he is limping around.
Jackson was a good boy... for most of it. We sat on the stage and he found a table and chair and sat for most of it.
